Wall preparation

1) Allow paint to cure

Let new paint cure for 30 days and choose non-matte paint to prevent bubbling or peeling. If unsure about the paint type, apply one panel and wait two weeks before proceeding with the rest.

2) Prepare the wall

Clean the wall with a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water. Use a soft cloth or sponge for cleaning. Allow the wall to dry and repeat this cleaning process up to three times.

3) Smooth the surface

Use a sanding block or scraper to remove any rough spots or bumps on the wall.

4) Organize wallpaper panels

Arrange the wallpaper panels in the correct order. Some designs need to be installed in a specific sequence, so check for numbers at the bottom of each panel and start with the first one.

5) Draw a level line

Use a level to draw a straight vertical line 24 inches from the left edge of the wall. This will ensure that the pattern is aligned properly. Remove any outlet or vent covers if necessary.

Wallpaper installation

1) Remove the top portion of the backing

Peel away the top 6 inches of the backing. Align your first panel with the guide line on the wall, ensuring there is a 1 -inch overlap at the ceiling.

2) Remove the remaining backing

Peel off the backing one foot at a time, using a squeegee to smooth the wallpaper down as you go.

3) Overlap each panel by 1 inch & Trim the excess

If working alone, use painter's tape to align the panels. Press each panel firmly with the squeegee to ensure it adheres well to the wall. Then, use a sharp blade and a straight edge to trim any excess
